About
My name is Michael Chiverton. Growing up in the Hudson Valley, I fell in love with the forest at an early age. As a teenager I spent my free time in the woods hiking at Bull’s Bridge, exploring the Taconic Foothills, and climbing Catskill 35ers with my friends.
In 2010, I enrolled in Syracuse University’s school of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) and found my niche - forest management.
Since then I have had the opportunity to work in various fields within my niche, Ranging from forest management and land conservation to large scale maple production installations and small scale logging for timber stand improvement and sugarbush management. MC Forestry is a small family-run business.
My wife, a native Coloradoan, my two-year-old daughter Tallulah, and our two dogs Cashie and Remy all share my passion for nature and often join me in the woods in warmer weather.
